Websites for education

School and education websites that parents can actually use

A school or education website serves busy parents, inspectors, staff and prospective families, often all on the same day. It has to be clear, accessible and easy for your team to keep up to date.

I design and build websites for primary schools, tutors, assessors and independent education providers, working closely with leadership teams to get the structure right.

Talk about your website

What an education website needs

Statutory information, done properly

A clear structure for the information schools are required to publish, so it is easy to find for parents and for Ofsted.

Accessible for everyone

Built to work with screen readers and on every device, with readable type and good colour contrast.

News, events and letters

A simple hub for the latest news and term dates that staff can update without technical help.

Clear information for parents

For tutors and assessors: plain explanations of your process, fees and what happens next, so parents can make a decision.

Reviews and resources

Reviews integration, accessibility tools and a resources section that keeps families coming back.

Working with your team

I work directly with headteachers, senior leaders and practice owners, listen carefully and turn a long list of requirements into a site that is simple to use.

Your team gets a WordPress site they can edit themselves, with support from me when they need it.

Questions

How much does a school website cost?

Most school and education websites fall within my £750 to £1,250 or £1,250 to £2,500 ranges, depending on the number of pages and features. I’ll quote a fixed price after an initial chat.

Will the website meet Ofsted requirements?

I build the structure for the information schools must publish and make it easy to keep up to date. The Strawberry Fields Primary School site was built to be fully Ofsted compliant.

Is the website accessible?

Yes. Sites are built to work with screen readers and on all devices, and I can add an accessibility toolkit for visitors.

Can staff update it?

Yes. News, events, letters and pages can all be edited from WordPress without technical knowledge.
