A booking-led website for a holistic healing practitioner on Canvey Island, Essex, offering Reiki, SOMA Breath, Access Bars, meditation and shamanic drumming.
The challenge
Sam offers one-to-one sessions, group breathwork events and corporate wellness, and needed clients to book and pay for all of them online without a third-party booking platform taking a cut or diluting her brand. Some services need health screening before a session, personal information had to be handled carefully, and everything needed to be easy for Sam to update herself.
The solution
I designed a calm, nature-inspired site with an animated dandelion hero, built as a custom WordPress theme that Sam edits through a flexible section builder. At its heart is a bespoke availability plugin: Sam sets her weekly hours and blocked dates, and bookable slots are generated automatically. Clients pick a time and pay through Square, with their place held during checkout and released if payment fails. Group events show live spaces remaining, limited-time offers appear on the homepage, and services that need it prompt a health and safety form. The site was security tested before launch, and analytics only load with consent.
